Come on love, draw your swords, let's not fuck around.

Have any of you ever been in a situation were you cannot do anything you truly enjoy doing like reading a book or painting or maybe taking a walk? It's like you just cannot do it for some reason. You open a book to read and your mind wanders, you try to paint and it feels like you've been drained off all creativity, you try to go for a walk and you cant seem to get out of your bed in the first place. It's terrible. It's like you want to hold the world by its neck and strangle it but you just can not lift your arms to do it. Annoying or what.

Happy New Year. Its been so long since i blogged. Have i missed it? Not really. Not at all actually. I was even ready to stop writing altogether. I honestly don't like blogging anymore. I dont know why. I just dont. But today i feel like. Don't ask me why. I just do.

Draw your swords by Angus and Julia Stone. It's been iterating in my itunes for a few days now.

So come on Love, Draw your swords
Shoot me to the ground
You're mine, I'm yours
Let's not fuck around.

Cigarette Burns.

Me, creepy face and lovely tee.
My friend was telling me the other day that most photos that I like of myself are the ones in which my face is mostly blurred and distorted.
Self-loathing, she said. Maybe, I said.
But mostly, i just like it when it's blurred. There is something beautiful about blur/ motion-blur photos. Like the James Blake album cover.

It's been so long since I posted a doodle. I screwed this one up though.  Was experimenting with watercolor pencils. I feel there is nothing that gives me more pleasure while sketching than a simple black gel pen. Not even pencils. Pencils are messy. Just like paints, nutella and a few other unmentionable stuff.

I guess the pills don't work and the drinks dont work
In the morning they hurt like cigarette burns...

Great song. Great Lyrics.

And I'm back. Again.

I need help. These days I'm just not doing those stuff that I actually enjoy doing. Like blogging and ehh..you know....a few other stuff.
I need motivation. You gotta motivate me. Yes, Im talking to you few handful who actually read this blog and not really the ones who comment cos they know there is a chance of me returning the favor in the form of a comment or by following.
I feel like a pig. And I bet pigs are having way more fun than I am right now. What the fuck am I even saying? How do i know what it feels to feel like a pig? !
I think Im just frustrated. Yes, that's what this is all about.

But fuck it.

Tristesse Contemporaine are a Parisian trio who makes electro/ psych pop dance tunes. Their self titled album is one of the best albums I've listened to this year. It's hypnotic.
Here's my favourite track from the album. I Didn't Know. It's dope, I'm telling you.

And it seems last year in july, the band disappeared at the Heathrow airport. Once the airline noticed that they were missing they called the police who started a search immediately. After a week they were found wandering somewhere near the European Space Agency and they had no clue of what happened the past week since their disappearance. Experts say they had a black out whereas some others say that apparently it was "The call of a higher power". They still have no idea whatever the fuck happened that week.

Now is that creepy or what?! o.O

Acid Baby Jesus

Acid Baby Jesus is a four piece band hailing from Greece. Their tunes can easily be mistaken for some garage punk music of the 70's or something. I've been obsessing over their tunes for quiet some time now.

Their self titled LP is a mixture of garage punk and psychedelia. Some of the tracks show an obvious influence of the Black Lips on the band, like in the song "mesmerized". They even toured with Black Lips which I think is really cool. The track "Homo sapiens" sounds heavier than the rest of the tracks in the album and it's a total babe! "Oh Aurelia" and "I'm a baby" are very pop induced tracks. "I'm a baby" sounds like a 60's tune.  "Old fart" is another amazing track. It's a slow and more psychedelic track. "Tooth to toe" is a slow 60s sounding track with which I've fallen in love. The first track of the album "Tomboy" is an upbeat rock n roll track. So is "Fingerpainting" and "Tyrannosaurus Rex" ('Just like a dinosaur'...this is addictive.)  Damn! All the songs are great in this album. These guys are incredible.

And that's what happened.

So, yesterday was the day I was supposed to graduate (I dint cos of a few fucked up assignments and also because I'm pretty good at being fucked up). I had totally forgotten about it until I saw the photos that my classmates (with whom I rarely and painfully socialize) posted on FB. It's not like I was dying to go for the graduation ceremony. I just want the certificate. You know, the certificate that says that I have managed to do something that normal people do and that I dont have to ever go back to that fucked up place again? Have to wait a whole fucking year to get that now.
But anyway when people ask me how my graduation went i just scrunch up my face and go like...

Yes. I feel bad. I might cover it up by listening to  music that almost no one listens to and feel so cool about it. #hipsteralert . But deep inside I do feel bad.

I love Faris Rotter and his various facial expressions.

A lot of people have helped me in making me not fall into a 'non-graduate' depression (I don't even know if it's grammatically correct). Like Kasabian's Tom Meighan who recently called the band One Direction "Five Little Dicks". I don't think anyone managed to describe the boy band this accurately. He's hilarious and adorable. I also found real pleasure in reading the comments written by One Direction fans. They are so wonderfully dumb. One Directioners reading this post.....try not to take it personally.

Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band

Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band makes pretty amazing music. They sound like some 80's indie-psychedelic rock band. I'm loving their tunes. Take a listen.
